Note wrote on June 9th 2010 :
The land bought by the company (in dotted lines on the plan) girds all the massif (unity scale in meters). The objective is to raze all the massif and to reduce it in various aggregates, in particular for the widening of roads and the embankments for a dam in Pukhet !!
The site include some 19 caves. The stars represent the caves indexed on this site. The caves n°8 and n°9 are on the destroyed spot : they have both disappeared (!!), they were important in term of volume and especially contained burials, human bones, porteries and tools which had been updated by Dr. Niwat.
The caves n°4 n°5 n°6 n°7 are on the red list!!
They are the next ones which will be destroyed without delay if nothing is done in the weeks to come!.
Explosions were recently operated at the top of these caves in order to constitute a closing and to stop the sight and the access to these caves!
Although the perimeter is kept, the persons in charge are afraid that people see the caves and come to make picts or videos to convey communication. They thus deliberately decided to close them before destoying them...

If the project could be stopped soon, the restoration of those caves would be still possible according to Dr. Niwat.
The n°6 is particularly splendid according to the Dr. : 40 meters depth !. They all still contain many vestiges of potteries and bones. As all the others in which one finds also animal and human bones.

TEvery evening they set up dynamites and whole pieces of moutain disappear.

It's time to act before the damage is too advenced, in particular for this battery of caves 4-5-6-7 which are really in danger !

Legend :
- In 1996 the full zone represented by the red square was declared by the specialists as an archaeological great potential zone. A large number of archeological sites were found in all this sector.
- The zone in the small red circle corresponds to the area which is currently exploited and eroded by explosions and machines
In fact.. all the ringed blue zone will be threatened…! (google maps pict no updated.. here the area is still intact !)
- The small massif in the yellow pentagon is the only one which had been authorized to be exploited as a quarry. The documents were falsified and finally the company “BORISAT NAI MUANG DJAMKAT” monopolized the zone included in the yellow oval which corresponds to the plan of which I gave the detail previously. This zone was not authorized at all !!
Mr. Chai Wan Atsawasirisuk, the “odious” owner bought 400 rays (+ 66 hectares) contiguous to the massif which I represented here in pale red. The green way which leads from A to B and all accesses to the sector were formally prohibited.
Normally a constraint of 40 meters starting from cliff is allowed by the law and the access to the entire solid mass should be authorized!
It's not the case since all the zone is now closed, controlled, buckled.

Here on the left, which there remained primary forests in 1990. We are today in 2010 and the report must be much more alarming…!

Be the change which you want to see in the world.

... and Bornéo !!
